Intervention/Decoration brought together a significant selection of both internationally renowned and emerging artists to respond to the dynamic established in the project’s title and to the physical and social structures of the distinctive Somerset market town of Frome.
The publication documents Foreground’s first ever project and includes images and descriptions of each commissioned work together with an essay by Foreground Director Simon Morrissey discussing the curatorial premise of the project, the context and history of Frome as a site and the founders’ personal motivation for establishing the organisation.
